The January transfer window will open with great fanfare. Arling Holland, the wonder boy of Salzburg, officially signed a contract until 2024 in Borussia Dortmund this evening (2024) and is expected to join her ranks as the transfer window opens at the start of the civil year.

The 19-year-old striker, who signed for four and a half years for 20 million euros, broke into consciousness this season after 22 games in all frames sparkled with 28 goals, five cooking and five three-pointers. And if that's not enough, the country has scored no less than eight goals in the Champions League home stage. Bottom line, Juventus and Manchester United chasing him will have to wait for the next global talent.

"From the first moment I felt that I wanted to go to Dortmund," said the wonder boy at the signing ceremony. "I have been eager to play in my new uniform. Recently, I have had many conversations with the team, management and professional staff, and I am very happy that everything has worked out."

Michael Zourke, Dortmund's professional manager, welcomed the glittering stamp: "Despite offers from large groups all over Europe, Holland actually chose us after he very much liked what we presented to him. I am very happy that all of us have paid off."
