Parisian defender Thilo Kehrer, who returned to competition in December, talks about his foot injury which kept him away from the pitch for four long months. The 23-year-old German could take advantage of the absences of Meunier, Marquinhos and Bernat to find a starting position this Wednesday, January 15 evening against Monaco in the championship.
You have been absent for many months, what physical condition are you in now?
THILO KEHRER. The plantar fascia is a ligament below the foot where the blood circulates badly. So to heal and heal completely, it took time. It was a difficult time because I didn't know exactly how long it would take to get back on the field. But today I am 100%, physically and mentally ready.
Do you want to settle in one position or continue to alternate several positions: central defender, lateral or even midfielder?
It's always the same thing. For me, I want to be ready to play in all the positions where I have already played, in central defense or right back, in order to play as many games as possible.
Were you afraid for your place during your injury?
I was not afraid. It was a difficult time, because playing is what I love the most. The competition is great in our team but for me it is positive. This improves.

What did you think of PSG's performance against Monaco?
We knew that Monaco is dangerous offensively. We had a draw, with lots of chances on both sides. So we have to focus on our state of mind and our ability to control the game both offensively and defensively. We already know where we need to do better tomorrow.
How can you find an important place in this group?
I must seize the opportunities that are offered to me. I have to improve during all the training. Before I also have to find rhythm and regain confidence in myself and in my game.
Do you talk a lot about 4-4-2 between you in the locker room?
No between us it's more the state of mind, the collective, the fact that each one runs for the other that occupies us. It is more important than the system for us.
