World number two Novak Djokovic beat German Jan Lennard Struff in the first confrontations of the Serbian player in the Australian Open tennis, thus proceeding to boost his record eight times crowning Melbourne Park.
Djokovic was forced to make a major effort to win three sets against one, 6-7, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1.
With this victory, the Serb qualified for the second round to meet the winner of the confrontation between the Japanese Tatsuma Ito and the Indian Brajnice Guneswaran.
