The ASM easily got rid of the Saint-Privé-Saint-Hilaire (N 2) fans this Monday evening (3-1).

Monaco did not fall into the trap. For the last match of the 16th finals of the Coupe de France, this Monday evening, against Saint-Privé-Saint-Hilaire, resident of National 2 (4th Division), the Monegasques took over in the first period to, then , master their subject and get out easily (3-1) despite a goal conceded at the end of the match. Final qualified for the 8th finals, ASM will face AS Saint-Etienne, in Louis-II, on Tuesday January 28, for a real shock between two Ligue 1 teams.

But let's go back to the evening events, which took place on the lawn of the Source stadium, the usual enclosure of US Orleans (L 2). Arranged in 4-4-2, with four very offensive players (Baldé, Augustin, Jovetic and Ben Yedder), the Southerners were quick to find the fault. In less than half an hour, Baldé offered himself a double (11th, 28th). After a huge failure, Ben Yedder scored him the third and last Monaco goal of a perfect control-strike sequence (36th).

The Monegasque festival could have been perfect without this goal conceded in the 82nd minute, which made fans of the Loiret amateur club scream with joy. Former Parisian Arthur Zagre, who arrived in the Principality this summer, thought he was scoring a last goal in favor of Monaco but the referee logically refused it after a hand committed by Bakayoko. Seriously, the Monegasques therefore rose to the round of 16. A lap better than last season, when the ASM was eliminated by FC Metz from the 16th.
