The incident took place at a gas station on Highway 6 while the bus that was leading the players, where the owners and professional staff were also stopping for a refreshment near midnight. At the same time, the bus of the fans stopped at the gas station, creating friction.
Captain Eden Ben Best arrived to chat with the fans and tried to calm the spirits. Incidentally, at the gas station there was also a police van at the time with two police officers who also stopped for refreshment but did nothing to disperse the fans and they just drove away.
