1. One of the main goals for which the Winner League League Administration was established in 2002 was to ensure as much revenue as possible for the league teams and to improve the conduct and professionalism of the Senior Basketball League in Israel.
To that end, we have recently looked at the amount of money that the administration is directing to the league teams each season, and we have compared the other senior basketball leagues across Europe.

According to the "Israel Today" test, the league's administration in the country in the 2019/20 season distributes about NIS 36 million to all league teams. That's at least NIS 2.2 million for each of the 12 delegates who make up the first league.

Israel's representation in European establishments - Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Holon, Maccabi Rishon Lezion and Ness Ziona municipalities - each receive an additional NIS 500,000, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will receive only NIS 80,000 (because its participation in the Euroleague is not due to sporting achievements In the local league but in accordance with a private contract with the factory management.) Additional groups may receive additional financial grants depending on their final position in the table.

2. Converted to Euro, the Israeli League Administration grants teams between 570 - 730,000 euros per season, similar to the Spanish League (ACB) administration and in fact more than all other European leagues (full detail in the table below).
In Spain each team receives at least half a million euros a season, and the amount is increased according to the club's locations at the end of the season. The eight teams that make it to the playoffs receive a nice extra cash, and the champion finishes the season with a million-euro income coming from the local league administration. The Turkish Basketball Association also gives teams a substantial sum, estimated at about half a million euros a season.

3. Perhaps because of this data, the sports ministry also wants to join the National League Administration League, to improve the professionalism and visibility of the second league in Israel, and especially to bring higher income to the second-level teams.
At a recent meeting between the sports director general Yossi Sharabi and his men, and senior officials in Israeli basketball, the possibility of support was raised, but members of the National League Administration are now firmly opposed to it. .

Sports ministry officials have criticized the National League's revenue has not risen significantly in recent years, making it clear that action should be taken.
