Hapoel Holon defeated Menersa tonight (Tuesday) 65:67 in Spain and significantly improved her chances of qualifying for the FIFA Champions League eighth final.
The Purple started the game tightly and were already up to 20, but choked in the last quarter and let the host return to the game. In the end Marcus Foster took responsibility and with some big baskets determined the fate of the game and gave the Spanish team a first home loss this season at the factory.
Stefanos Dadas has been counting on a third win in three games since arriving in Israel and now has an edge in the equality voucher on the Spanish team that could prove to be critical at the end of the home stage.
Except for a 15-point poster, T.J. Klein excelled with 16, and Joe Alexander went on to show how good it was with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Huumpi's and Ault's 18 were not enough for a loser who is still dependent on the fight for the next stage.
