The French podium contender Kevin Aymoz was eliminated after the short program from the European figure skating championships this Wednesday in Graz (Austria). Aymoz (22) completely missed his short program, with two falls and an aborted jump. He was only 26th with 64.40 points. Only the first 24 are qualified for the free program.
"He can be European champion this year," announced Philippe Candeloro, the former Olympic medalist, in our columns this Sunday. He did not go far from the podium in 2019. We expect him to materialize, because he has the means. It has all the qualities to seduce the environment. On December 7, the triple French champion (2017, 2019, 2020) finished third in the Grand Prix final in Turin, becoming the first French solo winner since Brian Joubert. The march was apparently too high in Graz.
The other Habs competing, Adam Siao Him Fa, qualified him finishing 24th, with 65.21 points.
