Just hours after the signing of Amara Stodmeyer, Maccabi Tel Aviv players gathered this morning (Wednesday) for training in Hadar Yosef before traveling to Munich for the Euroleague vs Bayern game (Thursday, 21:00).
In his remarks, head coach Janis Spropoulos addressed the recent acquisition: "I am very happy with Amara's signing. He is a good player with a lot of experience to help us in the league and will also give us Euroleague solutions.
"We waited to see what would happen to Caspi and after three days ago it was decided that he would undergo surgery and that he finished the season, we wanted an Israeli player"
The Greek also referred to the game itself: "Coming back to injured Bayern is going to be a tough game against a team that will fight with their new coach. We will have to be very focused and play our game. I hope if we continue our way as time goes on we will play better."
