American Serena Williams qualified for the third round of the Australian Open after winning today the Slovenian Tamara Gidansk.
The 38-year-old Williams decided the match in two sets, against 6-2, 6-3.
Williams, who is seeking her 24th Grand Slam title, has set a date in the next round with Chinese Wang Qiang.
