Manchester United's hopes of reaching the Champions League were dealt a heavy blow by losing 2-0 at home to Burnley in the English Premier League.
Chris Wood put Burnley ahead in the 39th minute with a direct shot after Ben Mae set up the ball for his New Zealand teammate, then Burnley, who jumped to 13th place, doubled through Jay Rodriguez with a powerful shot in the top corner after an exchange to pass the ball with Wood.
The fans poured out their anger at the club's owners and chanted a protest against the Glazer family, which has owned the club since 2005, as it watched its team defeat for the second time in a row.
The defeat left United in fifth place, six points behind Chelsea, who are in the last place in the Champions League.
