Syrian female basketball recorded a remarkable presence in the external championships of the last season through the performance and results achieved to form a new start after the absence of several years of external participation.

Our U-16 team won the West Asia Championship in Damascus last month, hosted by the Al-Faihaa Hall in Damascus, which announced the return of the atmosphere of international competitions to Syria, and won the Sharjah Championship title in the same month.

Yazji added: The development of the level of our female basket is related to the increased friction of female players with players from more experienced teams through camps or external championships, so our group returned to foreign participation recently after an absence that lasted for years due to the difficult circumstances that passed through Syria.

And with our teams returning to the external participation, the time is right to return to the brilliance again and build a distinct preparation strategy provided that the local tournaments for all groups are intensified and distributed throughout the year, not just a period of two months, and the gathering of the distinguished players in each governorate and developing them both physically and physically so that they are ready when external entitlements.

Yazji concluded her speech: Our players are able, with their strong will, to achieve distinguished results on the external level and overcome those difficult circumstances that led to the decline of the level then.
