Serbian title holder Novak Djokovic continued his career in the Australian Open today to overtake his Argentine rival Diego Schwarzman, winning him three consecutive sets.
According to Reuters, Djokovic decided the match by 6/6, 4/6 and 4/4 to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament for the 11th time in the history of his participation.
Djokovic will meet in the quarter-finals with Canadian Milos Raonic, who has already won in all nine confrontations that have brought them together so far.
Tunisian Anas Jaber beat Chinese Wang Qiang by two sets at no cost in the Australian Open tennis, becoming the first Arab player to reach the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam.
According to Reuters, Jaber achieved victory by 6/7 and 1/6 after a match in which she starred through the diversity of her skills and the strength of her performance, to settle her in 77 minutes.
Jaber defeated Caroline Wozniacki, ranked first in the world previously in the previous round, to end the career of the Danish player in tennis courts, after she announced her retirement after the first major slam of the current season.
