Roger Federer is not going to end. The Swiss tennis player saved seven points this morning (Tuesday). Yes, seven, with a wonderful comeback en route to victory over five-seeded Sandgreen Tennis in the Australian Open quarterfinals.
Fedder, already lagging 2: 1 in the sets, managed to make the bowl in front of the world's 100th-ranked Sandgren on the way to a dramatic 6: 3, 2: 6, 2: 6, 7: 6, 6: 3 and a place of honor in the semifinals. Federer, who had a hard time in the third round against John Milman and even lost a fight against Foskovich, worked hard this time as well, and despite a 3: 6 victory in the first set, the American returned wonderfully with 2: 6, 2: 6 in the second and third set.

In the fourth set, Sandgren already had three points of play in 5: 6, but the Swiss fought like a lion, forcing an equalizer in which he managed to scrape a victory right in the teeth. By the fifth act, everything was already set free and Federer posted a 3: 6 en route to a dramatic 2: 3 finish. In the semifinals, the winner will be waiting for him in the upcoming meeting between Novak Djokovic (2) and Milos Raunich.
For the women, Ashley Barty (1) secured the Big Four spot after a two-set win over Petra Kabitova (7) 6: 7 (6), 2: 6. Barty became the first Australian in the semifinals since 1984. Barty will meet 21-year-old Sofia Kenin, who recorded a 4: 6, 4: 6 victory at the expense of Rape Jabour.
