We are looking for the district athletes of the year 2019 for the district Miesbach. Here you can vote in all four categories.
District - Dear readers, you have the choice again: Who are your athletes of the year 2019 in the district of Miesbach? Under the patronage of District Administrator Wolfgang Rzehak, readers of the local newspaper can vote for the 35th time this year.
Choose from five candidates each
Here we present five women and five men, five young athletes and five teams. The list is in alphabetical order. The division into adults and youngsters is based on the league or class in which the athletes achieved their successes in 2019 - so not necessarily based on age.
When it comes to choosing an athlete, it is not just sporting success that counts
On the one hand, the election is about the successes in the 2019 calendar year. But commitment, charisma and sympathy also play an important role. Voting ends on Friday, January 31, 2020.
The award winners are traditionally honored as part of a large festive evening. This year it will take place at our partner, the Hotel Bussi Baby in Bad Wiessee. The Autohaus Steingraber from Holzkirchen supports us again.

District athlete of the year 2019
Natalie Geisenberger wins almost everything there is to win again. The luge athlete is the first woman to win the overall World Cup for the seventh time. In addition, the 31-year-old Miesbacher becomes individual and sprint world champion.
Ulrike Giesa's comeback of the year. After a long period of international abstinence, the thrower starts from SF Föching at the European Senior Championships - and wins silver. The 35-year-old is in eleventh place in the German leaderboard.
It was not necessarily the Vanessa Hinz season. In the overall biathlon World Cup, the Schliersee ranks 27th with a podium finish, but is still among the best in the world. At the World Cup, she and the team won silver in the mixed relay.
Viktoria Rebensburg describes her silver medal in the giant slalom at the World Ski Championships in Åre as the greatest success of her career. The Kreutherin was fourth in the overall World Cup as well as in the discipline ratings giant slalom and Super-G.
In her first full World Cup season, Marlene Schmotz makes her World Cup debut. In the World Cup, the 25-year-old from Fischbachau made it into the top 30 four times. The best result came at the beginning of the current season: she finished ninth in the giant slalom of Courchevel.

District athletes of the year 2019
Lucas Bögl wins gold and silver at the German Championship. The cross-country skier from Holzkirchen fights 22nd in the Tour de Ski. The 29-year-old is also at the World Cup. At the beginning of the new season, Bögl became the best German at the first World Cup.
In front-load shooting one time European champion in singles and four times in the team classification, plus four vice titles. Shortly thereafter, the world championship title in long-range shooting follows. Leonhard Brader's yield from Fischbachau is impressive.
Andreas Eder completes all competitive games in the DEL main round and Champions League . In the end, the Miesbacher is runner-up in both competitions. For the first time, the 23-year-old scored two-digit points in the DEL and scored his first two international goals.
Artistic gymnast Felix Remuta is defending his German league title. The Holzkirchner is also at the European Championship, but remains without a medal due to a foot injury. The 21-year-old narrowly missed the World Cup.
Florian Wilmsmann is Germany's best ski crosser. The 23-year-old is German champion and is fifth in the overall World Cup. The Holzkirchner is the only German to secure a podium finish on the Feldberg with second place - the first of his career.

Young athletes of the year 2019
Hanna Dopjans wins two gold and two silver medals at the German Track Cycling Championships. At the European Championships, the 16-year-old wins bronze with the foursome and sets a new German record.
For the first time, Enya Müller represented Germany at the Nations Cup for Young Riders - and ended up at the top of the podium. The 21-year-old defended her runner-up title at the Bavarian Championship.
The next ski talent of SC Kreuth is in the starting blocks: Marlies Oberlechner is second in the German School Cup in her age group U16. The Kreutherin shows constant performances throughout the season.
It is the year of Sophia Schwarz . The 15-year-old runner is the number one in Bavaria in her age group over the 2000 and 3000 meters. At the German championship, the Fischbachauer finishes fifth over the 3000 meters.
German vice champion in snowboard cross is Celia Trinkl . And that as a young driver for adults. This is one of the reasons why the Waakirchner is nominated for the Winter Youth Olympic Games in January 2020.

Team of the year 2019
Angela Hageneder and Christa Hoos clear away: The recreational bowlers of the DJK Darching are German champions in tandem. At the Bavarian Championship, the two also finished third on the podium.
Andrea Maurer, Gertraud Zellermayer, Monika Mösl and Sandra Schneider from TSV Hartpenning move up to the first stock sport Bundesliga. They are fifth at the German Summer Championship. They are first class even in winter.
Magdalena Baumann, Lisa Bremm and Sophia Schwarz are the best in Bavaria. The SG Hausham junior relay team will be Bavarian champion in 7: 41.13 minutes over the three times 800 meters.
