Portuguese midfielder David Simao is scheduled to land in Israel tomorrow (Tuesday) and sign Hapoel Be'er Sheva subject to medical examinations. This is a 30-year-old midfielder who, at the beginning of the season, signed to Greek Athens but had difficulty fitting into his ranks and recorded only four appearances. Prior to that, Simao belonged to the Belgian Antwerp and the Portuguese League played in teams from the first league such as academics, Boabishte, Pacos Pereira and Maritimo.
Simao is not the only one expected to sign until the end of the transfer window (Thursday). The WC hopes to sign goalkeeper Zahi Gigi from Maccabi Petah until the end of the season. In the Negev capital, they will wait until after the game of the Malabas tonight and if all goes well, Gigi will join as Ernestes Stacus's replacement who is likely to end the season due to injury. Gigi is supposed to be a second goalie for the Levita fan while currently serving as the second goalie for Yossi Ginzburg in the National League uniform.
