Euroleague leader Anadolu Zero defeated CSKA 80:82 this evening (Tuesday) in Moscow and achieved a first victory over the Russians since 2013 and first ever in Moscow in the Euroleague.
Anadolu completes an out-of-state victory over the three scorers after she also defeated Real Madrid and Barcelona. It was the Turks' eighth consecutive victory at the factory, while CSKA suffered a first loss after five consecutive wins.
Anadolu led by 11 points in the second quarter, but even after the lead was reduced and the game became tight, the visitors dominated it, mainly thanks to Shane Larkin, who scored 23 points. Vasilya Michic added 19 points to the winner, while CSCA led Mike James with 20 points and Johannes Voigtman with 15. Both teams met last season in the factory final, but then CSKA celebrated and won the title.
