As the BVB announced this Wednesday, the attacker suffered a muscle injury in the 2: 3 in the DFB Cup round of 16 at Werder Bremen.

Reus will initially miss Borussia in the Bundesliga top game at Bayer Leverkusen this Saturday, and the Dortmund native will also miss the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain (February 18).

Time is also running out for the second leg at PSG (March 11). The 30-year-old international had been replaced in Bremen after 89 minutes for his new colleague Emre Can because of thigh complaints - and had largely remained pale before.

After the strong start of the second half of the season in the Bundesliga (5: 3 in Augsburg, 5: 1 against Cologne, 5: 0 against Union Berlin), BVB is once again threatened by unrest this season.
Coach Lucien Favre had already caused fan annoyance on social media after the Swiss transfer hit Erling Haaland left the DFB Cup knockout against the Hanseatic team for a half-time.

The 19-year-old Norwegian scored the goal after his substitution. Most recently, sports director Michael Zorc had unequivocally stated that Borussia Dortmund wanted to compete for the championship until the end.
