Herisau (dpa) - national ice hockey coach Toni Söderholm has started the international match year with the German Olympic perspective team with a defeat.
On Thursday, the German "Top Team Beijing" was subject to a similar perspective selection from Switzerland with 2: 4 (1: 0, 0: 2, 1: 2). In Herisau, Switzerland, Lucas Dumont from the Cologne Sharks (18th minute) and debutante Sebastian Streu (47th) from the Eisbären Berlin scored the German goals.

At the beginning of April, Söderholm started preparing for the World Cup in Switzerland in May, parallel to the playoffs in the German Ice Hockey League. Until the start of the World Cup on May 8th in Lausanne against Canada, the German A selection will test a total of seven times against Slovakia, Belarus, the Czech Republic and the USA.
