Already very lively in Ligue 1 and in D 1 women, the rivalry between PSG and OL will now be exported to young people. Carried out this Thursday, February 6 at the headquarters of the FFF, the draw for the round of 16 of the Gambardella Cup, the equivalent of the French Cup for those under 19, served as a shock between the two clubs.
A special match for the Parisian and former Lyonnais coach
This match will necessarily be special for Stéphane Roche, the Parisians' coach who arrived in the capital last summer from ... Lyon. Trained at OL, the former midfielder played there for ten years (1988-98) before joining his training center for almost another decade (2010-2019), notably in the role of director.

The meeting will take place in the Rhône, probably at the Lyon training center in Meyzieu, on February 22 or 23, fifteen days after the duel of the elders, scheduled this Sunday at the Parc des Princes. This second act between the hopes constitutes a real shock between two candidates for the final victory, which flees them each since the 90s.
The only Parisian success in the event already dates back to 1991 when the last Lyon triumph, the third in its history, dates from 1997. In the league, PSG occupies the leadership of group A when OL are in 3rd position in the group B, behind Sochaux and Metz.
Cherki against Kouassi and Aouchiche?
Since their entry into the running, the Parisians have also achieved a more promising course, marked by successes 8-0 at Evry (Regional 3), 6-2 at Lens and 2-0 at Reims. It is therefore the fourth time that they will travel. For their part, the Lyonnais won 6-0 at Épinal, 1-0 against Bourg-en-Bresse before going on penalties to Andrézieux (Regional 1) in the previous round.
The poster could be the opportunity to see at work the Lyon prodigy Rayan Cherki (16) and the Parisian nuggets Tanguy Kouassi and Adil Aouchiche (17), all three regularly aligned in Gambardella and already seen in Ligue 1. Suffice to say that all the ingredients are there to attend a great game.
