LE SCAN SPORT - This Friday, the daily L'Equipe unveiled its estimates of salaries for Ligue 1 clubs, and some striking figures emerge from this file.

€ 5 per second

With more than 3M € monthly, Neymar, the PSG player, earns almost 5 € per second, against 5 cents for a footballer touching 35,000 € per month, monthly median salary in Ligue 1. The Brazilian striker therefore receives 311 € per minute, i.e. € 18,660 per hour.

17

In the top 30 best paid players in Ligue 1, released by L'Equipe this Friday, 17 players play at Paris Saint-Germain, knowing that the top 11 is 100% Parisian. Neymar is at the top of the ranking with € 3.06M per month and Thilo Kehrer, last Parisian in this top 30, is placed 24th with € 410,000 monthly. In 12th row, Ben Yedder is the first non-Parisian player in this ranking, the Monegasque player earns € 650,000 per month.

1M €

This is the amount of the premium that Claude Puel, the coach of AS Saint-Etienne, will receive if he manages to qualify his team in the Champions League. For that, the club will have to be classified on the podium of Ligue 1 at the end of the season, whereas today it is only 15th. If they manage to climb to fourth or fifth place in the classification of the French championship, the players of Saint-Etienne will be qualified for the Europa League. At that time, Claude Puel can receive a bonus of € 550,000.

31

With € 625,000 per month Thomas Tuchel, PSG coach, earns 31.25 times more than Nimes coach Bernard Blaquart, who earns € 20,000 monthly. André Villas-Boas, the Marseille technician is the second best paid coach in Ligue 1 this season with € 400,000 monthly. Finally, Bordeaux resident Paulo Sousa and Monaco resident Robert Moreno complete the podium with € 280,000 per month.

4,000 €

In Saint-Etienne, some footballers earn € 4,000 in bonus if they are holders of matches. But this system is only valid for the oldest players in the club, with a limit: € 120,000 per player per year, or 30 tenures. This is particularly the case of Loïc Perrin, with the Greens since his 12 years. In Reims, the first professional contracts are the only ones to receive bonuses linked to appearances on the match sheets (€ 250), an entry during the game (€ 500) and a tenure (€ 1,000).
