Ice pirates have to tremble, but remain steadfast

In a game that was initially really boring, but then turned into a gripping and playfully high-class exchange of blows, ESC Dorfen won three whole against EHC Königsbrunn last night with a 3: 2 (0: 0, 2: 0, 1: 2) win won important points.

Dorfen - Tobias Fengler made his comeback after a long break, Timo Borrmann and Ernst Findeis were there again - the ice pirates were better positioned again. Königsbrunn also had almost everything with a good reputation, but neither team managed to achieve much on the ice for a long time. The guests got off to a flying start, and Andreas Tanzer was forced to intervene after a few seconds. The first penalty of the game against Dorfens Kroner in the 16th minute brought life to the game - and a strong dancer at operating temperature. Königsbrunns Arnawa cleared Fengler two minutes before the break so that the contact lenses slipped. The majority did not bring anything anymore.

As if transformed, both teams came back from the break, especially the ice pirates. With one man less, Lukas Miculka reached deep into the bag of tricks, but failed due to goalkeeper Hetzel. Three minutes later, however, he chased the target dry and humorless to make it 1-0 in the far corner. There are such pioneering phases. Then Königsbrunn's top scorer failed in direct duel to Tanzer, in return Vrba forgave, but Miculka ended a strong urge phase with the 2: 0. In a great exchange of blows, the ice pirates too often missed the target, while their goalkeeper had some hot puck contact. After a class move over Vrba, Borrmann chased the target against the post. In the last minutes before the renewed break, the ice pirates had even tried in vain twice.

They made up for it only seven seconds after the restart with 3: 0 by Florian Mayer. Königsbrunn brought a penalty time again by Julian Becher's goal. It became critical for the ESC when in minutes 50 Mayer and Borrmann had to go to the penalty bench in quick succession. But dancers and Co. successfully closed the Scots. A deflected shot by Max Arnawa struck 2: 3 for the guests. The game became a thriller. The ESC survived another penalty and 32 seconds before the end Miculka could have put an end to it earlier, but failed due to the strong rush in the EHC goal.
