Nandlstadt - Thanks to their strong nerves, the U11 juniors of TSV Eching have landed the big hit: At the futsal indoor championship of the Donau / Isar district, the small zebras won with the maximum possible drama and now continue to the Upper Bavarian on February 22nd in Altenerding.

The later final from Eching had the first final in the group phase: The zebras did not start well with two draws - they parted 1-1 with FC Erding, which should be met twice in the further course of the tournament. The 1-0 win over Scheyern was a must - and then there was the final for the semi-final against TV Ingolstadt.

This last preliminary round game was also a calculation game, because in a tie Eching and Ingolstadt would have scored the same goal and scored a six-meter shootout for the semi-finals. However, the zebras made their best match so far and won 2-0. But now the next special case arose: TSV Eching and FC Erding were equal in the first two places - and there was also a draw in a direct comparison. So at the end of the preliminary round there was a six-meter shootout for the group win: Eching won duel number two against Erding with 4: 3.

In the other group of preliminary rounds, the defensively strong Vöttinger were determined early on. Host Nandlstadt was also good at the back, but had too little penetration and was eliminated without a goal. "The games against such good teams were fun," said Nandlstadt coach Kemal Dikenci. "I'm very happy with the boys."

"We can still be proud of our tournament"

The Vöttinger juniors then caught their weakest tournament game in the semi-finals, where they had no chance in the 0-2 victory against FC Erding. With that, the dream of the Upper Bavarian championship had burst. In the game for third place, the SVV finally won 2-0 against Ilmmünster / Hettenshausen - and coach Thomas Matzka only knew that “Erding was really high level. We can still be proud of our tournament ”. Laurin Rittinger (4) and Sebastian Still (2) scored the goals that day.

TSV Eching meanwhile made life difficult for themselves in their 1-0 victory in an uneven semi-final duel against Ilmmünster. The young zebras stood several times in front of the goalkeeper - and failed again and again. Normally this should have been a clear success - but only Julian Nahas scored in the goal.

And then there was the third showdown against FC Erding: after the preliminary round game (1-1) and the six-meter shoot-out for the group win (4: 3), there was now the final (0-0) and then another decision from the ominous point for the Tournament victory (5: 4). In the regular season, the spectators saw few goal scenes because no team wanted to make a mistake. In six-meter shooting there was not a single miss in four rounds. The Erdinger felt a slight advantage because Eching twice happily turned. But then the opponent slammed the ball - and Echings in the endgame strong goalkeeper Alexander Lechner certainly transformed.

"Actually, we were already out of the tournament with one leg in the preliminary round," Eching coach Danny Langer had to admit. But the team has increased. He only regretted that the Upper Bavarian championship was scheduled for Carnival holidays and that the Echingern would probably miss one or two regular players.
