Madrid-SANA
Real Sociedad defeated his second-tier Mirandes 2-2 in the first leg of the semifinals to take a step towards qualifying for the King's Cup in Spain for the first time in 32 years.
Spain's Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring for the away team in the ninth minute, but Mirandis, who knocked out three top-flight teams on his way to the semi-finals, leveled through Brazilian Matthew Rodriguez five minutes before the break.
Norwegian Martin Odegaard midfielder Sociedad lost the ball in the offensive as he leveled, but three minutes later he made up for the return of the visitors.
Mirandis, who directed Celta Vigo, Seville and Villarreal, will play the second leg next month at home.
