Neuried - How closely the majority of the South Relays of the Futsal Regionalliga are together this year and how much the results depend on the form of the day can be seen from the services of TSV Neuried. On the one hand, the Würmtaler had the undisputed leader Weilimdorf on the verge of losing their first point in over two years, and on the other hand it was a 0: 9 defeat against neighboring Deisenhofen. There was a win and a loss against Wackersdorf, a draw and a loss against Penzberg. "Almost all teams are at a very similar level of strength, with the exception of Weilimdorf and Jahn Regensburg," says Neuried coach Mathieu Jerzewski. In Regensburg, of all places, the Würmtaler must start this Saturday (6 p.m., Isarstrasse).

Nevertheless, the TSV does not have to put the sand in the head. "But the two top teams also have problems if they do not deliver their usual performance or the opponents outgrow themselves," says Jerzewski. His team can tell you a thing or two about this: in addition to the fast sensation against Weilimdorf, the new songs in the first leg against Regensburg celebrated what was probably the greatest success of their young history when they sent the top favorite home again 6: 4. "You have to have the courage and confidence to play games against opponents overwhelmed on paper," said Jerzewski. This time the coach has almost the entire squad available; with Pavlo Stohniienko, Julian Briones-Montoya, Luis Gutierrez, Nikolai Vlahovic and Marcel Nirschl all goal scorers from the first leg. The TSV only has to make concessions in the goal. Regular goalkeeper Michele Pavan is injured, Srecko Miskovic on vacation. Only Antonio Rodolfo is available.

Jerzewski is happy to give up the role of favorite despite the positive first leg result. "Jahn plays savvy futsal with brains and has a current national player in his ranks with Alexander Günter," says the Neurieder coach. There is also the sport-psychological aspect: "At Jahn, the item 'open account' will be high on the agenda," warns Jerzewski, but immediately adds: "We are by no means lacking in self-confidence. If we continue with our best season games so far, it will not be easy for the opponents. ”Even if he won, Jerzewski's view would only be relegation. The coach is not oriented upwards: "All that counts is points, we need them in the relegation battle." Accordingly, he places little value on which team faces his team. In the end, every point won can be decisive.
