Former world champion Benedikt Doll is one of the favorites at the first biathlon showdown in Antholz, Italy. The Black Forest wants to beat the dominators Johannes Thingnes Bö from Norway and Martin Fourcade from France in the men's sprint. "I'm trying to punch you out so hopefully it's enough for the podium," says the 29-year-old. Arnd Peiffer, Olympic champion over the ten-kilometer distance and 2011 sprint title holder, has outsider chances. Johannes Kühn and Philipp Horn complete the German team.
