The ESC conceded a 3: 5 bankruptcy against Pfaffenhofen.
Dorfen - You invested a lot on Sunday evening, but it wasn't enough. The buffed EisHogs of the EC Pfaffenhofen were beaten by ESC Dorfen 3: 5 (0: 2, 3: 1, 0: 2). The ice pirates dominated the game and opponents for more than half of the first third, before penalties turned everything upside down.
Dorfen outnumbered the head referee Ulpi Sicorschi while watching how two Pfaffenhofeners provoked Lukas Miculka with a few pushers. The fuse went through. For attempted stick stabs he received 2 + 2 + 10 minutes of penalty. 14 seconds later there was a two for Florian Mayer.
It took a good minute, then the league top scorer Nick Endress scored the 1-0. Against him, ESC keeper Andreas Tanzer had to do hard work, especially when Pfaffenhofen's Lohrer was back from the penalty box. Mayer was also back when the ice pirates initiated dangerous attacks themselves. But they didn't make it over time. Endress held his bat in a shot to make it 2-0. A guest punishment brought great chances of being shot by Vrba and Mayer. Pfaffenhofen was hardly complete again, because Gebhardt failed alone because of the strong dancer.
Timo Borrmann ensured a start in the second third with the connection goal after 56 seconds. It was now an open exchange of blows. Miculka was back now. 30.01 indicated the clock, so ESC defense made it too easy for John Lawrence at 3: 1. Borrmann had the right answer 71 seconds later. The puck rang on both posts before striking. The ice pirates were now masters on the ice. Sandro Schroepfer outnumbered 3: 3.
Perhaps the renewed pause came at the wrong time for Dorfen. The EisHogs, whose game is very dependent on their parade block, were able to gather again. Outnumbered their captain and best defender of the Bavarian League, the Canadian Jakob Fardoe, the puck for the 4: 3 in the cross corner. Miculka had broken through shortly before and goalkeeper Patrick Weiner had to make room for treatment for Valentin Baier. 21 seconds later said 4: 3 fell and Weiner came back. 50 seconds later, Endress dribbled around the ESC goal and pushed in to 5: 3.
