The World Cup 2019/20 in ski jumping continued with a ski flying in Bad Mitterndorf. In adverse conditions, Karl Geiger finished sixth and Stefan Kraft won.
Bad Mitterndorf - Ski jumper Karl Geiger has lost points in the overall classification in a duel with World Cup leader Stefan Kraft.
The 27-year-old from Allgäu finished sixth in Bad Mitterndorf on Sunday after flying at 225 meters and was able to

confirm its good shape.
Ski flying was stopped shortly before the end due to strong winds. Local hero Kraft secured victory with 230 meters and is now 138 points ahead of Geiger in the overall standings. It was the first win ever for strength on home soil, so the joy was correspondingly great. Here is the overall rating
Ski jumping: Upward trend at Eisenbichler
The podium behind Kraft was completed by the famous Kulm Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan and the Slovenian Timi Zajc.
Behind Geiger, Stephan Leyhe (10th), three-time Seefeld World Champion Markus Eisenbichler (16th) and Pius Paschke as 17th made it into the top 30. This time there were no points for youngster Constantin Schmid, who finished 36th. The ski jumpers will continue this weekend in Rasnov, Romania. Then there are two jumps from the normal hill in the World Cup calendar.
The only two previous jumps from a normal hill this season were won by Geiger.
