The performance on Friday in the Grafing ice stadium was very special in several respects. Not only that two buses full of TEV fans caused a loud block of guests, but February 14 is also known to be Valentine's Day.

And so the game had the motto: "One Love - TEV Miesbach". The players on the ice returned this love and gave the traveling fans with their well-deserved 4: 1 success their first away win in the gear round between the Oberliga Süd and the Bayernliga.

"Luck was on our side today," says TEV coach Peter Kathan. The 38-year-old did not mean that the victory would have been a happy one. Rather, his players survived weaker phases without damage. "It was still a tight game," says Kathan. "But such a win tastes all the more."

Meanwhile, the tense personnel situation in the squad should taste less. Grafing, Josef Frank, Athanassios Fissekis, Thomas Amann, Andreas Nowak and Franz Mangold, again lacked five regulars. "But we have a large and very good squad," emphasizes Kathan. His team must be able to compensate for this.

They did that very well, at least in the first third. Because: The TEV cracks took over immediately and put the EHC Klostersee under pressure in the early stages. "We started very concentrated," Kathan confirms. In the eighth minute it was time: After a nice pass from Filip Kokoska, Thomas Schenkel circled the disc into the corner of the cross to make it 1-0. Subsequently, the TEV failed to expand the leadership.

After the first change of sides, the game flattened out a little. Miesbach was unable to continue the high pace of the first 20 minutes. Nevertheless, the TEV could rely on one during this phase: Thomas Schenkel. The 34-year-old got the 2-0 after half an hour and gave his team at least a calming lead in the second break.

But the hosts kicked off again in the final section. Ex-Miesbacher Florian Gaschke marked the 1-2 with twelve minutes before the end and thus ensured a hot final phase. Not least, "because we took a lot of stupid punishments in this phase," complains Kathan. "That makes us vulnerable."

The TEV Grafings storm also withstood thanks to a well-placed Anian Geratsdorfer in the goal. A little later, Dusan Frosch marked the decisive 3: 1 after a wonderful individual campaign. Felix Feuerreiter scored 4-1 two minutes before the end, making their first away win perfect. In addition, he made happy faces among the traveling fans.
