Bad Mitterndorf (dpa) - Ski jumper Karl Geiger has again lost points in the overall classification in a duel with World Cup leader Stefan Kraft.
The 27-year-old from Allgäu occupied in Bad Mitterndorf after a flight to 225 meters and was able to confirm his good form after fourth place on Saturday. Ski flying was stopped shortly before the end due to strong winds. Local hero Kraft secured victory with 230 meters and is now 138 points ahead of Geiger in the overall standings. The podium behind Kraft was completed by the famous Kulm Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan and the Slovenian Timi Zajc.
Behind Geiger, Stephan Leyhe (10th), three-time Seefeld World Champion Markus Eisenbichler (16th) and Pius Paschke as 17th made it into the top 30. This time there were no points for youngster Constantin Schmid, who finished 36th. The ski jumpers will continue this weekend in Rasnov, Romania.
