This player woman teaches lessons to the Bayern youth: Jessica Contento, wife of the former Bayern kickers Diego.
Together with Massimo Cancellara and Alexander Liebisch, she founded the online tutoring platform Easy Tutor in 2017 - and for some time now Easy-Tutor has been trusted by the FC Bayern campus.
“Diego and I talked one evening about how he managed to manage the balancing act between football and school during his time as a youth player in Bavaria. Then he told me how crazy it was back then: As a boy, Diego had pressure early on to perform well in school and on the pitch. In the past, the youth centers were more focused on football, ”says the 27-year-old der tz.
As a businesswoman, she knew how to use her husband's experience: "Then I thought: We are the perfect support for young players, because with Easy Tutor you can book a tutor without much effort via the Internet." Students in tutoring write on virtual boards or draw math graphs and exchange ideas with their teachers as in normal lessons. Contento: “I had my first conversation at Fortuna Düsseldorf. Fortuna entered into a cooperation with us very quickly, and at that moment I thought to myself: Now you should try Bayern. ”
Flexible tutors are extremely important
No sooner said than done: the player woman presented her project together with her business partners, those responsible for Florian Cichlar, who works on the campus as a school representative. With success! A collaboration also developed with the young talents of the record champion, which also supports the campus in the afternoon lessons despite the very good daily availability of the teachers on site. For a good reason, as Jessica thinks: “It's all about time: some of the boys have training twice a day between classes on campus. If your day is so busy, it is difficult to organize a tutor at unusual times or at the weekend - this is also time-consuming for the parents and for the player anyway. With us, players can flexibly choose the day, time, subject and teacher. We are pleased that we can already help thousands of students and have won the trust of large clubs such as the FCB. "
"Tutoring is not a bad thing"
Especially in the higher age groups, such as in the U 19, where, in addition to league and cup games, the UEFA Youth League is also anchored in the game schedule, online tutoring can be decisive for academic success. “Only a very small number of the boys really make it into the professional area. That's why I always say: school education must be plan A, professional careers plan B, ”says the mother of two.
What is important to her: “Tutoring is not a bad thing. You don't just have to take tutoring to avoid failing. Many just want to improve or have difficulty with a particular topic. With Easy-Tutor, we can flexibly help different types of students. ”Her tip: Do not take extra tuition if the grades in the intermediate report do not fit, but earlier. "You can save yourself a lot of stress."
