They were the surprise in the district class and the district league: FC Kosova Munich. In the past two years, the team, led by Bajram Kackin, has successfully walked from the district class to the district league. But this season the boys from FC Kosova Munich are feeling the level of the league.
FC Kosova Munich sign eight new signings
The two-time climber of the past two years is currently only ninth in the district league. "Our goal was to establish ourselves in the district league and take a breath, so that we can then aim for the national league next season," CEO Arben Kelmendi told us in an interview. With ninth place, FC Kosova Munich cannot take the time to relax. Just three points separate the table ninth from the relegation place.
The club management also knows this and therefore acts quickly during the winter break. The fans can look forward to eight new additions during the winter break. For the offensive, the ninth in the table secures the services of Arbër Dhrami and Almir Hyda. Defense comes Dino Jurkovic, Modibo Konare, and Shkodran Zeqiri for reinforcement. The latter already played for Carl Zeiss Jena in the 3rd league and played against Bayern Munich in the DFB Cup. The midfielders Nasuf and Admir Ibrahimi and Igli Dakavelli then complete the eight. “For the time being, we have strengthened our squad sufficiently. Above all, the defense should be stabilized by the new additions, ”said Kelmendi. "The goal is that the youth players will make the leap into our first team."
FC Kosova Munich will soon appear in Freimann's stadium
For the next season, the club wants to target promotion to the national league. This should be done with the existing squad. “If we triumph next season, we have to wait and see. We will definitely look around the transfer market again, ”said the Kosova Munich board.
In the future, FC Kosovo should also change its venue. “Our plan is to move out of Aubing and soon to appear in Freiham. A new stadium is currently under construction there. We have already received a confirmation from the Munich Sports Office through a back door. Still, nothing is 100 percent fixed, ”Kelmendi tells us.
