It's running: EV Moosburg's ice hackers celebrated a 5: 1 win in Bad Aibling in the promotion round to the Bavarian League and thus remain in the playoff race.
Moosburg - With a view to the table, the Moosburg guest performance in Bad Aibling on Sunday was clearly classified in the "Mandatory Task" category. But one of these has to be dealt with first - which Dreirosenstadt did with the necessary seriousness and thus celebrated a safe 5-1 victory at the bottom of the promotion round. The six-point weekend was complete.
However, the initial phase was rather tough: After the goalless first third, coach Bernie Englbrecht and his assistant Hans Eder stood together and agreed: "This is the game we feared." The EVM was visually overweight, but the Aibdogs defended wisely and focused on their counter strength. In the ninth minute they even got a penalty, but Moosburg's goalie Linus Messerer defused them. Otherwise there were chances on both sides.

At the beginning of the second section, the guests shifted up a few gears. And after 46 seconds, the first cheers were celebrated when Marek Indra ended a first-row production with the opening goal. While the Bad Aiblingers were still considering how to react to this deficit, the bell rang a second time less than three minutes later: Again it was the prime series, this time with Miloslav Horava as the executor.
But the penalty times increased with the Moosburgers, which the host EHC punished for the first time in 30 minutes with a Powerplay goal. But just a minute later, the third EVM row one striker ensured that the old gap remained for the time being: Peter Abstreiter netted a 3-1 win with a single action.

EVM attacker Max Retzer, on the other hand, was still in the mood for a bit of ice hockey: he marked the 5-1 final score three and a half minutes before the end.
Three game days before the end of the promotion round, EVM is still well in the race, two and three points behind the playoff ranks three and four. Nothing stands in the way of an extremely exciting season finale, which will be heralded on Friday with the home game against pursuer Haßfurt.
