Hilgertshausen - The fact that the sporting offer at TSV Hilgertshausen is no longer limited to football became particularly clear at the general meeting of the sports club. Here, the heads of seven departments and the football youth spoke.

Soccer

In terms of football, the TSV has already experienced significantly better times than currently in the A-Class. Football department head Glenn Menzel is convinced that the club can keep the class with the current squad, which consists of players from the local and the surrounding area. He showed that TSV footballers were hurt from being penalized with three points for having played a friend who was not yet eligible to play. Meanwhile things are finally going uphill in TSV football, the team has also sold well at the Dachau indoor championship. The internal indoor tournament in Tandern, where 36 players were used, also gave confidence. "In the second half of the season, we still have to increase the hunt for points," said Menzel, who praised and praised the coaching team in particular. For the new season, he plans to strengthen the team selectively without wanting to lose kickers from the current squad.

The goal of the football department is to sooner or later register a second team to play. Josef Keimel, who has been the youth football director since 2011, showed that working with young people clearly bears fruit. In the meantime, there are already nine young players on the first team and more will be added next year. He could also be proud of the committed youth coaches. With the words: "Something is growing together again", he showed his confidence.

tennis

Tennis department head Robert Schadl discussed the three teams that are in point operation this year. Especially the women who had moved up to district class 1 would have done well and can look forward to a variety of derbies. While the "Herren 40" team had more fun than sporting success, the "Herren 55" in the district league were the figurehead of the TSV. This team is promoted to the national league and will therefore be allowed to play in the sixth highest league in Germany. The children's and youth training that started in autumn was particularly successful. "And last week, twenty children and young people signed up to play tennis with us," Schachtl emphasized, noting that a court keeper was urgently needed.

volleyball

Sebastian Wanzner, the head of the volleyball team, learned that there has recently been a beach volleyball team for women and that it is ideal for anyone interested to get started now. The 2nd volleyball team rose to Group B of the leisure league. The first team is also on the up, as evidenced by the record of five wins and five defeats. The staff ceiling at the Hilgertshauser volleyball players is unfortunately not too thick. "But the student training is going quite well," said Wanzner.

badminton

Badminton department head Kornelia Mahne reported about a department that had over 100 members but currently only has 37 members. "We would like to have reinforcements and are urgently looking for young people," said Mahnes to the meeting. Badminton celebrates 30 years in the TSV this year. Mahne recalled that this department was once founded by Elisabeth and René Kory. The fact that such a marginal sport in a village like Hilgertshausen has existed for 30 years is certainly not a matter of course. Mahne particularly emphasized Helga Niedermaier, who has been in charge of the till since the department was founded. On Shrove Tuesday, February 25th, there will be an anniversary tournament in the school gymnasium in Tandern.

running

Volker Melzer, who heads the running sports department, invited people to come for running training every Monday from 7 p.m. The ten-year existence of the Oberilmtaler hill run attracted 200 runners to Hilgertshausen last year. "That was a record number of participants," said Melzer, who expects a strong participation in the hill run on Saturday, July 25th.

Kinderturnen

Marina Möhler, who had to give up the popular gymnastics for health reasons after 25 years, went into the 20-year cooperation between the department and kindergarten and also spoke of the 15th anniversary of the taekwondo group. The gymnastics group “Loose from a stool” was already in its 10th year.

Sport after one

The TSV can be proud of an award from the Ministry of Education. "Sport after one", which has been going well with the TSV for many years and has been well received, has given the club a grant of 500 euros. Möhler's thanks to the trainers was followed by thunderous applause from the assembly.
