The fifteenth Arab Archery Championship opened with the participation of Syria this evening in Cairo.
In turn, the participating players confirmed their constant aspiration to achieve international and Arab victories and raise the flag of the country in every tournament they participate in despite the circumstances of the crisis in Syria and the unfair siege imposed on its children.
For his part, Dr. Bassam Darwish, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic to Egypt, said, "Despite the crisis and the unjust siege imposed on Syria, our sports federations continue to participate in Arab and international partnerships, win championships and send the true image of Syria to its sons from sports teams."
The tournament's opening ceremony was attended by Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, during which the leaderships of the Egyptian, Arab and international federations were honored for shooting.
