The tenth general conference of the General Sports Federation presented, at the conclusion of its work in the city of Al-Galaa Sports in Damascus today, several recommendations for the development of Syrian sport in various games, most notably providing sports equipment for training and preparation for all approved games and the qualification of new cadres through the establishment of courses in arbitration, training and support for sports that achieved distinguished results In the external championships.
Participants in the conference called for an increase in the number of training centers and contracting with experienced trainers for different games and establishing classification championships for clubs in all games, stressing the need to distribute sporting activity to the governorates where hosting capabilities are available and activating the role of sports houses in order to invest them financially and technically with the need for attention of the executive committees in the governorates By creating clubs for special sports, the army and civilians wounded, it means athletes with physical disabilities, monitoring the professional football league in a modern style and methods that observe the technical level in all respects, and activating collective and other individual games Required to create sports high schools.
The participants also recommended that attention be paid to games that do not work with the professional system and study them accurately and find a financial incentive for the rest of the games in order to stimulate and support them and the issuance of a sponsorship system for them and called for the launch of a sports television channel in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Information to highlight the Syrian sport and develop work in the organization’s newspaper and publish a cultural magazine A monthly athlete concerned with sports studies and research affairs, with the participation of editors of sports experiences.
The work of the conference began yesterday with the participation of 443 members.
