The World Cup in curling is getting closer. Now the last DESV training course took place. A Peitinger is given a special honor.

Peiting - Four stick shooters from TSV Peiting will be at the start for the German team at the World Championships in Regen in Lower Bavaria. Now it is also clear who is competing in which competition. Because last weekend the last elimination course of the German curling association (DESV) took place before the start of the World Cup on March 3rd. The Peitingen women played themselves in the foreground.

Ulrike Lachenmayer will lead the German women in the team game as captain. "This is the premier class," says Christian Lindner, spokesman for the Peitingen stock shooters, who make up the largest delegation from DESV. For this, Lachenmayer waives a single start in the women's target competition and only takes part in the team target competition.

All Peitinger stick shooters have medal chances

Somewhat surprisingly, Franziska Lindner, another Peitinger, is one of the five team players. She prevailed in a tough elimination against the opponents. As time is running out, she also competes individually and with the team in the target competition for the U23 juniors.

For men, Michael Lindner will compete in the U23 junior team game in Regen. Daniel Steber is nominated in the U23 in the target competition and in the team target competition. "All four have legitimate medal chances," says Christian Lindner.

Recently, curling stones that did not comply with the rules caused a stir in the rows of stick shooters.
