Norwegian Johannes Boe took advantage of the last day of the Biathlon Worlds to win his first individual gold medal by winning the mass start, Sunday in Anterselva (Italy), ahead of the French Quentin Fillon-Maillet and Emilien Jacquelin.
The holder of the big crystal globe (26 years old) had previously distinguished himself as a team with two victories in mixed relay and single mixed relay. It is the 10th title of world champion won in his career. Author of a magnificent 20/20 in shooting, Boe was 42 seconds ahead of Fillon-Maillet, already 2nd in the sprint, and 55 seconds Jacquelin, who left the Worlds with 3 charms (gold from the pursuit, bronze from the mass start and the simple mixed relay with Anaïs Bescond).
