The "ice hackers" are still second in the table after the furious 7: 5 over Königsbrunn. However, on the last day of the relegation round they are free of play - and competitor Geretsried needs a certain result.

Peißenberg - The last home game of the Peißenberg "ice hackers" in the relegation round was not for the faint of heart. The team of trainer Simon Mooslechner already looked like the loser against the ERC Königsbrunn, celebrated a 7: 5 (0: 2, 2: 3, 5: 0) victory thanks to a brilliant catch-up race - and can still count on the pre- Hope play-offs. We explain the state of affairs here:

The remote duel: After the Bayernliga relegation round has ended, the two best teams still have the opportunity to qualify for the playoffs for the Oberliga. You will meet the two worst teams in the Bayernliga promotion round in pre-play-offs. Game dates are: March 6th, March 8th, March 10th. According to the current status, the pre-play-offs would look like this: EHC Waldkraiburg - TSV Peißenberg; EHC Klostersee - EC Pfaffenhofen. The "ice hackers" still have to tremble and hope: In the relegation round, TSV Peißenberg (he has already played all twelve games and is free of play) can still be overtaken by the ESC Geretsried on the last match day (Sunday, March 1).

The "River Rats" would have to win at ESC Dorfen (he is trained by Peißenberg Randy Neal) in regular time - Geretsried and Peißenberg would then have 24 points each. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counts. If Geretsried wins by four goals, the difference is the same (both teams would be +11). In this case, the higher number of goals scored counts - and Geretsried (previously 46 goals) would be ahead of the Peißenbergers (42 goals). If Geretsried wins with less than four goals difference (or only in overtime / penalty shoot-out), Peißenberg remains second.

Ice chopper: just averted early season end

Regarding the game against Königsbrunn: "Madness", Mooslechner said immediately after the siren, after his team had averted the early end of the season with a 7-5 victory. The Peißenbergers now have to hope that Geretsried will not pass by on the last game day. After the duel with Königsbrunn, Mooslechner was done: "The game was incredibly nerve-wracking." He was definitely satisfied with the team: "The boys showed strong morale again, and we were lucky enough."

At the beginning, the "ice choppers" seemed inhibited. "We were fed up," said Mooslechner after the messed-up start with the goals against Anton Zimmer (4th) and Jakub Sramek (7th). Two outnumbered situations thereafter survived the "eisacklar" unscathed. With the exception of a chance from Tobias Estermaier (5th), little came together at the home side. It was only shortly before the first break that the Peißenbergers got into the game better. Florian Höfler (20th) shot past ERC goalkeeper Jenny Harss' stand-alone. She was lucky after that when Brandon Morley (21st) hit the pole. On the other hand, Hayden Trupp made a counter chance to 3-0 (22nd). With a double blow by Morley (23rd) and Manuel Singer (24th) to 1: 3 and 2: 3, the "ice hackers" were back in business a little later. But the upswing was quickly over.

Ice hackers: Peißenberg is 2: 5 behind and comes back

Within a minute, Mauro Seider (28th) and Julian Becher (29th) punished the hosts' sleepy defensive behavior with two goals. Shortly thereafter, Singer received a game penalty after a gang check (31st). The ice hackers survived the shortfall undamaged, Königsbrunn hit the post once.

With a power play goal by Morley, who deflected a shot by Leonhard Zink (46.), the TSV ushered in the chase. A covert long-range shot by Dominik Ebentheuer brought the 4: 5 connection (56th). Zinc (57th) also equalized from the blue line. Against the completely consternated Königsbrunner Novacek hit after a bully for 6: 5 (59th) poured. When Maximilian Malzatzki scored the 7: 5 (60th) via empty net goal, the Peißenberg fans were unstoppable. On the other hand, the frustration among the guests was so great that Zimmer was carried away to a stick, which earned the ERC striker a penalty.

Statistics: 1st third: 0: 1 (3:17) Zimmer, 0: 2 (6:28) Sramek (Zimmer, Auger / 5-4). 2nd third: 0: 3 (21:41) Trupp (Seider), 1: 3 (22:30) Morley (Martin Andrä, Malzatzki), 2: 3 (23:08) Singer (Hörndl, Novacek), 2: 4 (27:07) Seider (Trupp, Auger), 2: 5 (28:11) cups. 3rd third: 3: 5 (45:56) Morley B. (zinc / 5-4), 4: 5 (55:35) Ebentheuer (Malzatzki, Novacek), 5: 5 (56:41) zinc (Hörndl, Höfler), 6: 5 (58:51) Novacek (Hörndl), 7: 5 (59:33) Malzatzki (EN). Penalty minutes: Peißenberg 12 plus 5 plus playing time for singers; Königsbrunn 10 plus 5 plus playing time for rooms. Referee: Wittmann; Pinetti, Vorgeitz. Spectators: 371.
