Serge Gnabry loves London
He never really had a chance when he played for Arsenal. Back in London, Serge Gnabry demonstrated all his talent by achieving a magnificent performance on the ground of Stamford Bridge. Untenable on the attacking front of Bayern, he combined perfectly with Robert Lewandowski and offered himself a double-quick (51st and 54th) at the start of the second period to launch his team on the road to victory.
Davies is already tall
Alphonso Davies is only 19, but the Canadian left-back is already playing like someone with years of experience. For his first knockout match in the Champions League, he was absolutely not taken by the event and worked wonderfully in his hallway. In defense, he perfectly muzzled the Blues' offensives, returning for example in the timing on Mount in the first period (18th). Assists for Lewandowski on the third goal after a festival, it is no coincidence that the three goals come from his side.
Lewandowski as boss
He didn't necessarily make the biggest game of his career. But the statistics sheet still speaks for the Polish striker. He is still involved on three goals tonight (two assists and one goal), and has shown the way for his team when Bayern could not find a fault in the defense of the Blues. The boss, quite simply.

Chelsea without ideas
Frank Lampard had chosen to align Olivier Giroud at the forefront of the attack at kick-off and to accompany him with young players, leaving elements of experience such as Pedro or Willian on the bench. A choice that did not pay off as the Blues were helpless and thoughtless during the 90 minutes of the game. Unable to combine near the goal, they relied on long balloons towards Giroud, but without really that that leads to many frank opportunities.
Coman still injured
The evening could have been perfect for Bayern, but the Munich residents lost again to injury the French Kingsley Coman. In the 66th minute, the attacker stopped in the middle of an acceleration and got down on the ground, holding his thigh. He was immediately replaced by Coutinho.
