Hohenpolding - The course is set for the future. That often sounds a bit too spectacular, but it's true in the case of FC Hohenpolding. As reported, Max Wagner had not applied for this position after 30 years as a youth leader "because he wanted to let younger people in," explains Norbert Bauer, deputy chairman of the FCH. Now he has found successors. And for the men, he made sure that what continues to go very well for two years now.

"We have extended with Thomas Bachmaier," announced Bauer. How long? "For a long time," answered Bauer. “It was all very straightforward and with a handshake. Tom is such a good one, it just fits. ”The relevant sporting figures: Bachmaier came from BSG Taufkirchen and immediately led the FCH as a player coach into the district class. He scored 30 goals in the first season, 16 goals in the second year. "We are third in the district class," says Bauer, adding: "I think Tom likes it very much with us." And the 30-year-old teacher also confirmed this in an interview (see below) .

Great cooperation with woodland associations

The newcomers to the youth leadership team are Korbinian Selmaier and his two deputies Michael Lechner and Rudi Pfrombeck. You will continue Wagner's work. The FCH has been working with the FSV Steinkirchen for two decades. Recently FC Inning has also been on board. "Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to provide teams alone as a club," says Bauer, who praises the cooperation with the other Holzland clubs. Giving the whole thing new impulses and new structures is the challenge of the new trio.

This season, the syndicate with the FSV will even go from A to F youth, explains Selmaier. The primary goal is to get more children and young people excited about football in Hohenpolding. He is officially listed as the contact person and therefore the 1st youth leader, "nevertheless all three youth leaders are treated equally," emphasizes the 21-year-old. "We distribute the tasks according to who currently has the best time, professionally and privately." He has not really had much experience in the youth field. Last season, however, he was part of the U15 team's coaching team.

"The players accept my ideas and try to implement them" - FCH trainer Bachmaier in an interview

First champion, then established in the new class - no wonder that FC Hohenpolding wanted to sign up his coach Thomas Bachmaier (photo: private) for longer (see report above). We talked to the trainer about his goals.

Mr. Bachmaier, what are your reasons for continuing in Polding?

It's just fun to work for the club and with the team. You have noticed a steady development for a year and a half, which in my opinion is far from over. The players accept my ideas and always try to implement them. This is extremely important to me, and that's why nothing stood in the way of staying.

Did you have any other offers?

Yes, there were other offers.

What else is there with this team?

It is dangerous that everyone in the league can really win against everyone. How did we get the luxury of a great first half of the season not having to worry about relegation at the moment. But nobody dreams of more. In the last few games we have had to experience how fast you have to fight for every point if you have many injuries. In addition, Josef Stummer and Thomas Neumaier, two absolute regulars, sustained injuries that mean the two of them are out of the season. The goal is and remains to play good football and to integrate young players.

Where does the team have to develop further?

One issue we will be working on is the fact that we have had a relatively large number and, above all, unnecessary goals. We have to do that better collectively on the pitch. Another concern of mine is standards. However, the training time per week in the low amateur area is so limited that the priorities are usually placed on supposedly more important training goals.
