The rout at home against Caen on Saturday (1-4) was fatal. After a draw against Grenoble (0-0) and a defeat on the lawn of Châteauroux (3-2), the Artésiens had won only once in 2020 and hinted at signs of weakness, leaving Lorient in the lead of the classification of Ligue 2. Arrived at the club in the summer of 2018, Montanier therefore leaves the club without having managed to climb back into the elite. In an official statement, the club announces entrusting the management of the first team to Franck Haise, current coach of the reserve team.
