Ticket resale site StubHub has conducted a survey to analyze how much Ligue 1 players make when they publish sponsored content on Instagram. The top four footballers in the top 10 in this ranking all play at PSG: Neymar (133 million subscribers) with € 670,993 per sponsored post, followed by Kylian Mbappé (38 million subscribers) with € 194,538, then Thiago Silva 16 million subscribers) with € 83,599 and Angel Di Maria (11 million subscribers) with € 56,161.

The site also reveals that the players with the most loyal fans (number of subscribers who "like" and comment on posts) on Instagram, are not necessarily those who earn the most per post. We find in particular the Niçois Youcef Attal and the Monegasque Aleksandr Golovin. For example, each time the Russian posts a message, it is relayed by around 20% of its fans (119,000 out of 517,754 subscribers), while a publication by Neymar is only liked by 2% (around 2.7M on average) of its "followers".
While Cristiano Ronaldo became the first person to exceed 200 million followers on Instagram in January (Neymar ranks eighth in the ranking of the most followed personalities on the planet), he is the player who earns the most per publication sponsored to the world: € 1,019,408 according to StubHub. Thanks to this photo social network, the Portuguese receives record revenues. According to a study by the Business Insider site, he would have earned $ 47 million thanks to his sponsored posts last year.
