Little Leo wants to go home. And the SpVgg Unterhaching helps.
Unterhaching - Little Leo was born in May last year. But even now, after nine months, the hospital could not leave. "Sometimes we would just like to take it and go home with it," says his mother Alice. In his children's room in Unterhaching everything has been lovingly prepared for him, but he has never seen it.
Leo had a severe heart defect from birth. Although this could be remedied, it is now dependent on a ventilation machine, reports SpVgg Unterhaching in a press release. Around the clock, seven days a week. For this, the family urgently needs help from a nursing service.
"Leo needs support, but so do we as a family." The machine needs to be monitored, the oxygen supply measured - things for which the family urgently needs external help.
According to the SpVgg, the problem is that the nursing service that looks after the family from Unterhaching does not currently have enough intensive care nurses available for childcare - a fundamental problem that affects many children because of the nursing emergency.
Markus Schwabl from SpVgg Unterhaching and Nicolas Feldhahn from FC Bayern amateurs visited Leo in the hospital. "Leo is a fighter," says Schwabl. “What he had to go through at his age is indescribable. I have the greatest respect for that. ”
Feldhahn was also impressed by the visit: “You can only wish him and his family the best.
