It was clear against the leaders TSV Mühldorf II from the start. The guests started with the best cast, wanted to make the championship safe on this day - which they succeeded in the end. In the first set, Oberding lost 15:25, the second round was even clearer (11:25). The hosts could only keep up a little more in the third section, but were also defeated by 18:25.
Sieracki: "The Mühldorfer showed great serves, otherwise they were simply much better than we were." They lost very deservedly, also because none of the TuS team had shown their normal form: "We were defeated in all positions."
In the second duel of the day with the SC Freising II it got a lot tighter, at least in the first round. Oberding already had set balls against him, but fought very well and won 31:29. Falko Eich in particular was able to excel in the outside attack, making point for point for his team. The mood was now good again, says Christian Sieracki.
But that quickly changed again. After that it was 0: 7 against Oberding, and 10:25 was the second period. This caused demoralization. From now on the assumption and the attack no longer fit: "We were much too timid," complained the team captain. It got tighter again, but Oberding also had to give up the next two sets - at 19:25 and 21:25.
So the dream of the vice championship in the district league has burst. In view of the large backlog, third place is still theoretically possible, but Freising 2 should no longer be able to take it. Sieracki: “Fourth place is still realistic for us. We will be training for this in the next two weeks and want to attack again. “Because with such an achievement you don't want to end the season.
