Chicago (dpa) - The German international Dennis Schröder and Daniel Theis remain with their teams in the North American professional basketball league NBA on the road to success.
Schröder scored 21 points from the bank in the 124: 122 (72:55) of his Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chicago Bulls and posted five assists.
The 26-year-old's playmaker had his most important action on the defensive when he drew an offensive foul against Chicago's top scorer Zach LaVine a minute before the end. LaVine, the best thrower of the game with 41 points, also awarded the final siren a three and the possible victory. Oklahoma set a new club record with its ninth away win in a row.
The Boston Celtics with Theis in the starting lineup won the Portland Trail Blazers with 118: 106 (56:48). The 27-year-old center scored ten points and had nine rebounds, missing a double double by just one rebound. The best launcher of the Celtics was Jayson Tatum with 36 points. Boston thus secured its third place in the Eastern Conference.
The top game in the east was won by championship leader Milwaukee Bucks with champion Toronto Raptors with 108: 97 (50:52). The Bucks for the all-stars Giannis Antetokounmpo (21 points, 19 rebounds) and Khris Middleton (22 points) celebrated their 18th victory in the past 20 games. Milwaukee had previously been the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
