PSG: Neymar still claims money in Barcelona

The transfer of Neymar de Santos to Barcelona in 2013 never ceases to be prolonged in the field of justice. According to the daily El Mundo, the PSG striker is indeed claiming 6.5 million euros from the Catalan club following a dispute with the Spanish tax authorities. Barça has already been condemned several times because of the financial arrangements made at the time to facilitate the transfer. Forced to pay, Neymar considers that Barça must reimburse him. Hence this new procedure which adds to two previous ones initiated by the Brazilian against his former club. Because even if he hoped to find the Blaugrana colors last summer, Neymar is not his first legal confrontation with Barça. The two parties thus met in court last September to settle the dispute between them over a contract extension premium of around 26 million euros claimed by the player. The club, he would ask about 75 million euros for non-compliance with the contract following his departure for PSG. The procedure is still ongoing. As well as that which concerns 3.5 million euros in salary arrears that the Parisian wishes to recover.

Messi campaigning for his return

In total, it is therefore 36 million euros that Neymar is claiming from his former club through these three actions. At the same time, at Barça, some players, including Messi, continue to campaign for the return of their former partner. Neymar, him, at the end of the contract in Paris in June 2022, remains mysterious and discreet about his future while not ruling out the possibility of an extension.

This Saturday, Neymar will not play against Dijon, for the Ligue 1 meeting at the Parc des Princes. He will be suspended after his red card collected against Bordeaux.
