Berlin (AP) - Sebastian Vettel has no thoughts of an early career end in Formula 1. "There are no signs and no reason why I could not or should not continue," said the Ferrari driver in an interview for the season booklet the "sport picture".
Hesse is not worried about the time after his contract with Scuderia expired at the end of this year. "I don't think now that I have to be afraid that I won't be allowed to be there next year. I am convinced that I will do my best, the rest will show," said the 32-year-old.
Vettel drives for Ferrari in its sixth year, but has not yet won the longed-for world title with the traditional Italian team. Despite all the disappointment and criticism during the winter break, he "came to the conclusion that I definitely want it and that I enjoy it. And that's my attitude at the moment," said the four-time world champion from Heppenheim.
Vettel does not burden the always high expectations at Ferrari. "That's why I'm not under any extra stress or under additional pressure. But I want to prove it to myself," he said. His ultimate goal remains the World Cup triumph with Ferrari. "I just think it's the most important team in Formula 1. Winning here feels different than anywhere else," said Vettel.
