Berlin (dpa) - FC Bayern has expanded its lead in the Bundesliga in a memorable game at TSG Hoffenheim.
The Munich won without super striker Robert Lewandowski 6-0 (4-0), but the result fell into the background due to massive insults against TSG majority owner Dietmar Hopp. After two interruptions, both teams let the remaining 13 minutes run down in protest against the defamatory posters of the Bayern fans and played only the ball back and forth.
With the win, Bayern now have 52 points. RB Leipzig (48) can narrow the gap again on Sunday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) in the game against Bayer Leverkusen. Tied with Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund finished third after a 1-0 win against SC Freiburg.
