Rome (AP) - The Italian football league has postponed five Serie A matches this weekend to May 13.

Among them is the top encounter between the championship leader and champions Juventus Turin and the currently third-placed Inter Milan, which was originally supposed to take place on Sunday evening. The league announced on Saturday.

The other games affected are AC Milan vs. CFC Genoa 1893, Parma vs. Spal Ferrara, Sassuolo vs. Brescia and Udinese vs. AC Florence. The games should initially take place without spectators because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Lazio Rome is the new leader thanks to the 2-0 (2-0) win against FC Bologna on Saturday. Luis Alberto (18th) and Joaquín Correa (21st) made a double stroke to ensure that Lazio are now two points ahead of Juventus and four ahead of Inter thanks to a more completed game.

The postponement also affects the final in the Italian Cup, which was originally scheduled for May 13, Wednesday. It is now set to rise a week later on May 20, as the league announced.

Italy has the largest outbreak of Sars-CoV-2 in Europe with around 900 infected people by Friday. 21 people have already died of Covid-19 in the country - especially many in the north. Serie A had already canceled games last weekend. However, some games still take place.
